Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. The Moorings is a delightful, cosy cottage in the quiet village of Newton on the shores of Loch Fyne. Recently renovated it has two bedrooms, sleeping up to four people, there is a twin room with 2 single beds, the master has a super king bed for two people, all made up with lovely comfortable bedding to ensure you sleep extremely well on your holiday.

The cottage has a private back garden and there is seating and a barbecue out the front so you can enjoy the wonderful views and sunsets. There is an open fire in the living room along with a Smart TV. The utility is equipped with a washing machine, pulley for drying clothes and lots of hooks for hanging wet suits and coats. The shower room and toilet are at the end of the passage. There is also a toilet between the two bedrooms upstairs.

There are some fantastic restaurants only a few miles away such as the award-winning Inver and Portavadie Marina and Spa is only 25 miles from Newton and makes for a lovely day trip, you can also book boat trips with Fyne Sea Tours from here. Other great day trips to the Isles of Bute, Gigha and Mull are all super adventures for the family. There is kayak hire in Lochgoilhead and Dunoon. The Cowal Peninsula is Argyll’s Secret Coast and there are numerous hill walks and coastal walks for you to discover.

There are lots of great walks and things to do in the local area, it is 25 minutes from Inverary, 1½ hours from Oban and Glasgow and a short drive to many places of interest. The cottage has wonderful sea views to the hills and mountains beyond, the perfect place to relax and switch off. Bring your paddle board or kayak, the sheltered bay in Newton is perfect for these sports. Beach 100 yards.

    Absolutely lovely cottage and peaceful surroundings. What attention to detail in the cottage. Every day something new was noticed decor wise. Dog friendly ,our dogs loved running free down to loch early morning .Inverary great and castle for visit Ardinglas near Cairndow is worth a visit. Amanda was easy to contact with any queries .One of the best, relaxing holidays we have ever had.Stunning area 🥰
