Surrounded by neighbouring fields and woodland, and with direct access into the 18th century walled garden, Clutha is a favourite with families and groups seeking some quality time together. Clutha Cottage sleeps up to nine guests. The cottage boasts modern and comfortable accommodation and benefits from washing machine, dishwasher, hairdryer, microwave, TV and DVD player. A high chair and travel cot are available on request. Throughout the cottage you will feel a warm welcome: relax on the comfy sofas in the living room, uplifted by the warm glow of the log burner. Enjoy a home cooked meal at the dining table in the well-equipped kitchen catching up on the day's activities. From here French doors open out onto a decked area overlooking the spectacular walled garden. Four bedrooms offer high-quality wooden furnishings and plenty of storage for your personal belongings. Two double bedrooms, one with ensuite shower room, are located downstairs. The family bathroom, also downstairs, has a deep-soaking bath for relaxing after a busy day of exploring. A further twin room and a family bedroom room are located upstairs (the latter comprises one double bed and one single bed). The snug room on this floor has a TV and bean bags, so the kids can enjoy some play time away from the adults. Outside, there is a picnic table for dining alfresco, morning coffee or simply sipping a glass of wine at the end of a perfect day. A stone barbecue is located next to Clutha with all tools are provided. The cottage is located in 20 acres of grounds, including an 18th Century walled garden and a stunning 14th century Keep. A number of facilities are available for guest use including a BBQ, an all-weather tennis court, small putting green and football goals. In the nearby village is an array of pubs, bars and tea rooms serving delicious food, as well as a golf course and beautiful sheltered beach. The next seaside town along is Rothesay, with many shops, cafés and restaurants, along with walking opportunities and open top bus tours. Steeped in history, this holiday let offers a wonderful opportunity to stay on a private estate, which showcases Scotland at its best! This village offers a popular location for sailing the Kyles of Bute, one of the most stunning areas of coastal scenery in Argyll. There are pubs, bars and tea rooms serving locally sourced produce. Rothesay has plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants and takeaways. Walk along the esplanade, visit the winter gardens and catch the open top bus for a full tour of the island. You can take the ferry crossing to Wemyss Bay, visit the castle ruins in the centre of town and enjoy the scenery.
