After washing the day off, make your way over to the lovely double bed as you snuggle up with your partner and savour a well-deserved rest. The town of New Deer is less than a mile away and hosts a small selection of pubs and eateries, along with a convenience store that is stocked with your essentials. There is plenty to do without having to travel far, the local area boasts the gothic ruins of the 16th century Brucklay Castle and the breathtaking Deer Abbey to explore, along with the fantastic Forest of Deer Walk to embark on, that takes you through woodlands of Louden and Drinnie. Travel a little further to the town of Turiff and enjoy a game of putty at the local golf club, before touring the 11th century Delhgatie Castle and stopping for a bite to eat at its on-site tearoom. Enjoy a taste of Aberdeenshire's coast and venture to Peterhead with its fascinating Arbuthnot and Peterhead Prison museums, the vast Lord Catto Recreation Ground and the renowned Peterhead Trail to walk or cycle along.
