Although though it is still a bustling fishing port, the number of boats has drastically dropped over time, even if modern boats are much larger than those of the past. The town itself is a true community, complete with a potent football team and a stunning 18-hole golf course that, unbelievably, houses the seventh-oldest club in the history of the world, founded in 1777. Visitors are always welcome at the contemporary clubhouse, where they can relax in the bar, dining room, and lounge spaces that have views of the course and sand dunes. The Scottish Lighthouses Museum, located in Fraserburgh, is well worth a visit and provides a thorough overview of the development of lighthouses in Scotland's northern regions. The cottage was warm and cozy and it was very comfortable. All facilities were as described and the rooms were well laid out and spotless. The area was quiet and peaceful with the beach literally on our doorstep. We requested that all perfumes be removed from the property as my partner is allergic to "parfum". This was done without any problem and the cottage was free of any strong scents. I would love to return to this cottage in the future.

Well equipped house with everything you need. Comfy bed and sofa, nice after a day of walking. Shower could do with updating, poor water pressure. I was there in winter and the house was warm all day, lovely to return to after a cold walk on the beach. Garden is not fully secure so you do have to keep an eye dogs when they are outside. Overall a fab stay and great house, would definitely book again.
