Snaptrip says

Mary Larkin's Cottage is praised for its stunning views, peaceful setting, and cosy atmosphere. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bedroom, and the inclusion of thoughtful touches like welcome treats. The remote location offers tranquillity and proximity to local attractions, though the access road's condition is noted.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with several guests noting it as very clean and well-maintained. One review mentions it as one of the cleanest cottages ever visited, reinforcing the property's commitment to cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for its breathtaking views and tranquillity, offering a serene getaway. However, the challenging access road and lack of mobile signal are noted drawbacks, slightly affecting the score.

Comfort is generally well-regarded, with mentions of a large comfortable bed and cosy interiors. Some guests, however, found the cottage small and the bathroom cold, which suggests room for improvement in ensuring consistent comfort for all guests.

While the reviews mention various amenities such as internet and a log burner, there are recurring issues with water quality, the rough access road, and maintenance concerns like the shower door and bathroom ventilation. Due to mixed feedback and the lack of detailed positive reviews on facilities, a definitive score cannot be provided.

Guests have mentioned thoughtful gestures such as welcome treats including milk, tea, coffee, and pastries. While these are appreciated, it is important to note that such amenities are subject to change and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Good help from owners. Facilities were good.

    E. awful smell in bedroom on arrival and during 7 day stay, owners visited with air fresheners and scented candles and told us they knew of this several days prior to our arrival and was probably caused by by dead vermin (starlings) in the roof space. Apart from that mould in bathroom, seal on shower door defunct, room thermostat for heating not working so had to manually switch on every 45minutes, wood burner in lounge but only 3 logs for a 7 day booking, builders material and scrap wood dumped in back yard, I could go on.... Poor value for money we will not be returning.

Quiet and remote, great for romantic weekend. Place needs some maintenance though. Shower head is falling of, water drain in bathroom sink and shower easily blocks. There is mould in the bathroom - ventilation doesn't work. Place needs deep cleaning. Bathroom 2/5., the rest of the cottage 5/5.
