A lovely spacious property with the old school playground at the back of the property with plenty of room to park your car. A suntrap to sit out on warm days with table and chairs. We had a problem with the TV which as soon as we contacted the owner was sorted out. A very good position to explore the area. We would recommend this old school house and would love to return again.

Plenty of parking space. Lots of kitchen equipment if you want to cook your meals.

As an estate agent once said to me, "You don't get two chances to make a first impression. " Your very first photograph is misleading. Rather than a bright sparkling house with lots of colourful baskets and boxes you see a sad shabby house with no colour whatsoever. Round the back is the same. The windows were filthy, the small patch of grass looked like it had not been cut in many months, though this was rectified on the Monday. The garden furniture is old, rusty and dirty. (It looks bad in your picture but much worse now.) These observations were made before we even got out of the car. Inside there was much of the same. A main light bulb was missing, the TV in the living area did not work, a toilet seat was cracked. Cleanliness was good though again a lot of paintwork and dampness damage needs attention. One particular point was very annoying. Where you show in the pictures and in the script that there are two large double beds, the larger room, and far the nicest part of the house, now has two single beds. This means that that room was unusable for us. There are more matters I could point out but this quite enough. Needless to say we will not be going near this place again, and suggest that Sykes do some vetting of the places they manage. We wish we could have had a much better experience, but unfortunately we were misled. Michael Healy and Jean Duncan
