Brook Cottage is a well‑presented holiday cottage resting in the rural setting of Moneydig, County Londonderry, offering an appealing base for families or friends seeking a countryside stay within reach of Northern Ireland’s coastline and cities. Arranged across two storeys and thoughtfully laid out, the cottage combines practical living spaces with characterful touches. At the heart of the home is an open‑plan living space, where the kitchen, dining and sitting areas flow together, creating a sociable setting for shared time. The sitting area is centred around a woodburning stove, providing a welcoming focal point for evenings spent unwinding, while the kitchen is equipped for everyday self‑catering and the dining area offers space to gather for meals.
The accommodation includes three bedrooms, offering flexible sleeping arrangements. There is a ground‑floor double bedroom, ideal for those preferring ground‑floor accommodation, along with a further double and a twin bedroom upstairs. These are served by a ground‑floor shower room fitted with a walk‑in shower, basin and WC, and a family bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC, helping to keep mornings running smoothly. Outside, Brook Cottage benefits from a private patio area with furniture, offering a pleasant place to enjoy fresh air throughout the day. Off‑road parking is available for convenience. The nearest shop and pub are both reached by car, while the surrounding area provides a variety of destinations for days out.
Head to Portstewart or Portrush for beaches and coastal walks, explore the historic city of Derry, or venture further to Belfast for cultural attractions and dining options. With its rural setting and practical layout, Brook Cottage offers a dependable base for exploring County Londonderry.
Coleraine is the principal town on the Causeway Coast. Situated on the banks of the River Bann, it boasts an attractive pedestrian area with award winning floral displays. Soaked in history, with charm and character, the town offers a unique mix of old and new. One of the least celebrated, but most fascinating features about Coleraine is Mountsandel Wood (BT52 1TL). This Mesolithic site is believed to have been inhabited from as long ago as 7700- 7400BC. Visitors to Mountsandel Wood can enjoy a circular walk within the woodland and there is a commanding view of the town from the summit of Mountsandel Fort, which is thought to date to the Anglo-Norman period. Coleraine is close to the bustling towns of Portrush and Portstewart (known as The Triangle), both with busy nightlife. The incredible city of Derry/Londonderry is also within easy driving distance.
