About this property

Rosies Cottage is a beautiful period farmhouse offering high-quality accommodation just 3 miles from Bushmills in County Antrim. Combining the old farmhouse with a modern barn conversion, Rosies Cottage has been finished to a very high standard to provide an exceptional holiday home for a large family or group of friends. Rosies Cottage is spacious and beautifully decorated throughout in calming neutral tones. It offers a mix of modern convenience and lovely character features, like exposed beams and stone walls and floors. The kitchen/diner is fabulous, fully equipped with an island unit and there's a separate utility. The living room has ample comfortable seating for 6 adults and a wood burner, making it suitable for holidays year round. In the converted part of the house, which was once an old milking parlour, you'll find a quiet reading snug with a feature open fireplace, a superb bathroom with bathtub, separate shower, basin and WC, and a character king-size double bedroom with a feature stone wall. Upstairs are a further two bedrooms, 1 twin and 1 double, both with ensuite shower rooms. Outside there's a lovely enclosed patio garden that's safe for children and the ideal place to sit and unwind, perhaps with a drop of the local whiskey. There's also off-road parking to the front of the house. There's so much to see and do in nearby Bushmills, just 3 miles down the road, that you may never need to travel further, although the Blue Flag beaches and the outstanding golf course at Portstewart are just 20 minutes away. Bushmills is home to a heritage railway, a range of restaurants, a 9 hole golf course and a distillery. It's also the gateway to the Giant's Causeway, so make sure you visit the visitors centre before you set out to see this wonder of the natural world. And don't miss the extraordinary Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge linking the mainland with the island of Carrickarede. County Antrim has it all - from the stunning Causeway Coastal route to garden trails and waterfalls. Episodes of 'Game of Thrones' have been filmed using the stunning scenery of County Antrim as a backdrop, so don't miss the Game of Thrones themed high tea at the BallyGally hotel. Walkers and cyclists alike love the open landscapes and challenging terrain and there are plenty of great bars for a pint when the day's over. Just three miles from bustling Bushmills, Rosies Cottage is the ideal holiday base for lovers of the great outdoors at any time of year.

Bushmills is a village on the north coast of County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It is located 60 miles from Belfast and 11 miles from Ballycastle. The village owes its name to the River Bush and to a large watermill that was built there in the early 17th century. The village is best known as the location of the Old Bushmills Distillery which produces many varieties of whisky. Bushmills has a wide choice of eateries from coffee shops and licensed restaurants with several gift shops, galleries and varied retail outlets. The village is ideally placed on a crossing point for the river Bush and located on the designated Causeway Coastal Route.

Heating not acceptable , winter in NI and couldn't leave on all day or for longer than 1 hour. Very disappointed with Irish hospitality / lack of it .

Great location for exploring the surrounding area. Ballintoy, Giants Causeway etc. Had a great holiday and loved the location. Facilities in the cottage were great for the four of us. Kitchen had everything we needed too. My only issue were with the beds. I slept in the largest room and I think the mattress has seen better days. Very uncomfortable and glad to get home for a good nights sleep. Apart from that it was brilliant. Thank you so much.

Wifi ok. Good parking. On working farm, but very private and very quiet. It is perfectly placed for exploration of the causeway coast.
