About this property

Perched on the enchanting Antrim coast with overlooking sea views, is the quaint Woodleigh Cottage. Offering a wealth of character and an abundance of things to do, this 1897-built cottage promises a splendid retreat to Northern Ireland. As you walk through the front door you are welcomed into a reception room, where you can kick off your shoes before lounging around in the sitting room, where you can look forward to cosying up in front of a warming woodburning fire. Moving through the property you will find an amply equipped kitchen, where you will be delighted with the welcoming treats that await your arrival. Continuing to impress is a delightful sun room, where during the warmer months you can select a book to enjoy before sinking into the sofa. As the evening draws to a close, retire to one of the two idyllic bedrooms, comprising of a twin bedroom and a king-size double bedroom, benefitting from it very own en-suite shower room. Spend a moment or two outside within the beautifully-kept enclosed rear garden, where you will find an elevated sitting area with spectacular sea views during a clear summer’s day. Venture out to the town of Ballycastle, where you will find a wealth of eateries and shops, perfect for an evening out or picking up any holiday essentials. Whilst staying at Woodleigh Cottage, you will find a number of attractions and amenities to keep you and your loved ones busy. Within Ballycastle itself, you will find a charming marina, a challenging golf-course and the Ballycastle Strand, where you can spend a summer’s day soaking up the sun. Further afield is the National Trust Carrick-a-Rede, where you can explore the small island after stepping across the rope bridge. A 10-minute drive will bring you to Giant's Causeway, where you will be able to walk along the wonderful cliff-top trail. Whatever the weather, Woodleigh Cottage promises a wonderful family getaway.

Ballycastle is a small town resting within County Antrim, and is a superb base for touring Northern Island. In 2016 it was voted one of the best paces to live by The Sunday Times. The home plays host to a golf course, a Blue Flag beach and a range of local shops and eateries. Close by is the National Trust owned Giant’s Causeway, where you can enjoy the spectacular scenery.

Couldn't fault the facilities, comfort levels and location. The luxury hamper was a lovely touch and was matched by the comfortable beds and furnishings. We've been to many cottages and we couldn't fault this cottage at all. Thankyou. Stephanie

We had a wonderful stay there. Lovely views too.

Beautifully situated with amazing views of the Antrim coast (in all weathers!) and convenient for nearby Ballycastle. We were able to explore all the local attractions from this base. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. The 2 bedrooms are at opposite ends of the cottage which allowed us to escape from our teenaged sons! Beds were luxuriously comfortable, kitchen had everything you could need and plenty of storage space. 2 sitting rooms and a dining room provided plenty of living space along with the neat garden (as weather allowed). Eleanor met us on arrival and gave plenty of information about the cottage and area. If we return to the region we would definitely book Woodleigh cottage again. Thank you!
