While there are some minor concerns about facilities and maintenance, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests planning to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The lodge receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews mentioning it being very clean and well-kept. One review mentioned damp and mould, but this seems to be an isolated comment.

The location is consistently described as great, with beautiful views and a peaceful countryside setting. It is conveniently situated near towns and interesting places, adding to its appeal.

Comfort is a strong point for the lodge, with reviews highlighting the property as spacious, warm, and providing homely comforts. The presence of heaters in each room and a hot tub contribute to the overall comfort.

Facilities are generally well-received, especially the hot tub. However, there are some negative comments about the lack of central heating and Wi-Fi, and an issue with the hot tub that was resolved. Cooking supplies were deemed sufficient.

Guests frequently mention the thoughtful gestures, such as welcome treats and a hamper. While these are appreciated, it is important to note that such gifts are subject to change and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Kay the host is very welcoming & on hand if needed. Gorgeous welcome treats from Terrington tea rooms, try the sweet chilli sausage rolls. The lodge is in a perfect location for visiting lots of neighbouring towns, York, the coast, Malton etc. Castle Howard is beautiful and a short drive away. There are several local pubs, Crown and Cushion was a good find with a pizza place opposite. The Lodge was very clean, beautiful views & animals, a lovely swing seat and of course the hot tub which was perfect to relax in at the end of the day. All looked very pretty with the fairy lights at night and is a good place to view stars weather permitting. The only feedback really would be there was no Internet/WiFi and I had zero signal so couldn't research things. Although it did give me a break from my phone

The view is beautiful as well, few hens and ducks added to it! The hot tub was a lovely bonus, had a brilliant time!
