The property's peaceful location with beautiful views and sunsets is appreciated, along with its proximity to York and local amenities. However, one review suggests it may not suit those seeking closeness to civilisation, which slightly affects the score.

The comfortable beds and warm, cosy atmosphere of the property are frequently mentioned, suggesting a high level of comfort for guests. The mention of it being very hot on one occasion suggests room for improvement with cooling options.

The property is well-equipped and maintained, with guests finding everything they needed for their stay. The spacious kitchen and the quality of the local eateries contribute to a positive experience, although the lack of fans during a hot period is noted.

The presence of a lovely lemon cake on arrival is a thoughtful touch that guests appreciated. While this indicates thoughtfulness, it is important to note that such gestures are a bonus and may not be a consistent offering for all stays.

Beautiful property had everything you needed very comfortable. If I had to be really picky it was very hot so fans would have been great.Very peaceful location with beautiful views and sunsets. There was everything you could need and was spotless. Couldn’t fault it. Got response from the owners straight away if we had any questions. The Bay Inn food was great and very welcoming and the Cantonese take away was great. The park and ride into York was easy and reliable. Lots to do within 20mins drive.
