A dining table sits to one side where you can gather for a hearty breakfast before heading out for the day. Deep filled seating is ideally placed for an evening’s relaxation. A super kingsize zip and link double room can be found on the ground floor along with the house bathroom offering a large walk-in shower. The second bedroom is on the first floor and provides you with a super kingsize zip and link double. During the summer months enjoy al fresco dining in the courtyard or wander over to the bowling green and watch the locals enjoy a competitive game of bowls.
The walk into the city centre takes you along Gillygate, one of York’s best loved streets, packed on both sides with independent retailers, fabulous cafés and an amazing family run restaurant! Take time exploring York and marvel at the gothic York Minster, enjoy the remarkable National Trust Site of the Treasurer’s House or spend time in the Jorvik Viking Centre and the National Railway Museum. Wander down the cobbled streets, take a leisurely cruise on the River Ouse or take a seat and watch some of Europe’s best street performers in action. Good location for town via bus or walking. Lovely bedrooms and shower and small comfortable kitchen diner and lounge.

Great accomodation. Within easy walk to all places of interest. Great to having car space on driveway. Liked the private courtyard for sitting outside (when the weather permits). Beds very comfortable. Host Charlotte very helpful answering any queries we had. We would definitely use the accommodation if visiting York in the future.

Lovely cottage in a great location for buses into York or walking in. Well equipped apart from the three seater sofa, which was hard and uncomfortable to sit on with others, as you could feel the wood frame beneath. The single armchair was comfortable as was everything else. Upstairs bedroom was light and airy, but up quite steep stairs from the bathroom. Downstairs bedroom was a little dark. Beautifully equipped kitchen and we.loved being in one open plan room. Yard was private and beautiful with nice furniture. Overall, a great property. Just needs better living area furniture, particularly for four people. A second armchair would have been good.
