Enter the apartment and you will find a spacious hallway that leads to the large open plan living area. Flooded with natural light from a large picture window and French doors that lead out on to a small balcony where you can enjoy an early morning coffee or watch the night draw in with a glass or two of wine; this room is sure to delight.
The sleek, modern kitchen with large central island and breakfast bar offers an array of top of the range kitchen accessories including a wine cooler; it’s a delightful area from which to prepare a delicious meal or two.The dining table is well placed in front of the window and offers plenty of seating for seven whilst the sitting area provides a large deep filled L shaped sofa and chairs that face a large qled smart TV – just perfect to relax and unwind after a day exploring the ancient streets of York. To one side hidden in a discreet cupboard you will find a washer/dryer for your convenience.
The Loft at St. John’s has three bedrooms decorated in neutral tones, offering luxury soft furnishings and comfortable beds. A family room with kingsize bed, single bed and smart TV, a twin room and the master bedroom with a super kingsize zip and link with ensuite shower room.
Step outside into the vibrant community of The Groves, a much loved and popular area of York. Here you will find an assortment of shops, restaurants and takeaways as well as a choice of local pubs. A short stroll leads you through Monk Bar into the city centre with its abundance of historic sights. Discover the snickleways and alleyways of the medieval city that wind between York’s ancient cobbled streets which include the famous Shambles. Visit the Castle Museum, Jorvik Viking Centre, National Railway Museum and spectacular Minster or simply watch the world go by from one of the numerous cafes, bars and restaurants. There is excellent shopping to be had in York city centre or visit the Designer Outlet or Monks Cross Shopping Park.
The Loft at St John’s also provides an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area with Castle Howard, Flamingo Land, Rievaulx and Fountains Abbey plus the Moors, Dales and Heritage Coastline all within easy reach.

I truly great apartment.The apartment itself is superbly equipped, nice comfortable beds, just about everything you could possibly need in the kitchen and tons of room even if every bed was taken. Great location, a gentle 10 minute stroll to Monkgate and you are in the city centre.With a couple of convenience shops around the corner if you have forgotten anything you don't need to use your car until it's time to leave. The added bonus is that there is an assigned parking spot and if your have an EV a free charging point.Definitely added to our short list for return visits.

Top floor flat, great location with views of the Minster. Lovely clean and spacious with homey touches. Well equipped with a welcome pack including milk, tea and coffee, oh and some KitKat's (nom nom) which was much appreciated. Beds were soooo comfortable, we were lucky to have the super king size bed, heavenly. Love the hall table (can't seem to find it online though 😕)Only slight negative comment would be the sofa wasn't that comfy for us, but that's just our preference, it was very loungy and low and the entrance door lock was a little temperamental. Would love to return sometime. Thank you for making our stay like home from home 🙂
