The attractive old market town of Kirkbymoorside lies on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, in between the towns of Helmsley and Pickering. It is a charming place, full of Yorkshire character, and is the centre for the local farms and villages. Visitors will find a variety of shops from tea rooms, pubs and restaurants to antique shops, while there is a market day on Wednesday. The excellent walking and magnificent scenery of the National Park are close by, as are the picturesque villages of Hutton-le-Hole and Lastingham. Pickering is the base of the North York Moors Steam Railway - a ‘must do’ day out for all visitors to the area. Castle Howard, York, Whitby and the Yorkshire Coast are within easy driving distance.

With lots to see and so in the surrounding area. Would highly recommend a stay here

It is a beautiful lodge and all the little extra touches such as the welcome pack and kitchen provisions was a great help. However, the only downside if there is one I would say the singles bedroom is very small and beds are more suited for children than adults. My elderly parents had to have the double bedroom and I shared the small room with my partner and it wasnât the most comfortable sleep due to the size of the beds and not sure I would of liked to cope for a week sleeping in them. Other than that it is a beautiful place in a great spot, and owner has thought pretty much thought of everything to help our stay be a good one. Many thanks
