This is a lovely cottage in a small village, so any amenities are actually in Helmsley - good pubs/restaurants, quality butchers, lovely shops etc. However, it is ideal for walks. The cottage itself is very cosy, but be aware the clearance through the doorways downstairs (plus a beam in the living room) is quite low. There is a lovely aga, which keeps the whole place toasty warm. Since we were last here, it appears to have been completely redecorated with some exquisite wallpaper. We had a lovely time and would like to not leave quite such a long gap before we come back.

Wow, what a fabulous place to stay, the property and location exceeded our expectations and was perfect for our getaway break. So peaceful, with a beautiful, private and fully enclosed garden, visited by lots of garden birds, plus a pheasant (or two). We’d never used a traditional aga before but soon got to grips with it, even successfully baking our own bread!Thankyou.
