It’s a well equipped property and feels more like a home than a holiday let, a few nice welcoming touches lots of wildlife to see and it’s in a excellent location, many thanks to the owners

On arrival there was tea, coffee, sugar, a cake, milk and a bottle of Prosecco (which we didn’t drink as my wife is teetotal and I am not really a wine drinker). There are two conservatories, one at the rear and a large one at the front so for sun worshippers ideal. The gardens round the property are well tended and there are several areas of interest and a raised patio in the back garden with chairs and table to enjoy any late evening sun. We had fun watching the birds flitting round the garden and surrounding trees. Inside there was everything we required, the beds were comfortable and the cleanliness of the property was of a good standard. We met the owners just before leaving who were pleased to hear that we liked the property and that we had enjoyed our break in Yorkshire. Wherever we went in the area everyone was friendly and the staff on the North York Moors Railway especially so. So we had a warm welcome from most wherever we went. Recommended places - Helmsley Walled Garden; Helmsley itself; Ryedale Folk Museum in Hutton Le Hole and the village; North Yorkshire Moors Railway (large car park at Pickering station); Nunnington Hall; The Crown at Rosedale Abbey village and Goathland. A very enjoyable holiday made more so by our accommodation at Lane End.

Enjoyed spending time in a well stocked and interesting garden watching the birdlife. Will certainly book for next year when the dates become available.
