Overall a lovely comfortable place to spend a few days in. The owner was reactive in providing some cleaning materials we needed however it’s a basic which should’ve ebbs checked when preparing for arrival. You need a car for this cottage and the nearest supermarkets about 10 min drive away. We couldn’t see a local shop. It is very close proximity to York and Ripon which were lovely places. Th bathroom unfortunately let the cottage down. It’s very tatty and does need a good bit of decoration but.their is plenty of hot water on tap. Pin intended. I’m not sure what’s going on with all the plastic around the bath. The cottage is on a very busy road and the farm traffic woke me up early everyday.

What a little gem , fully secure garden, small but perfectly formed . Peace and quiet. Everything you need is there. A gateway to travel to some stunning little places. Owner messages to make sure you are alright which is very thoughtful. Second stay and will be returning.
