Our second visit to Half Moon Cottage and we enjoyed it just as much as the first. Such a pretty village. The best located property we've found for attending Ripon Races (apart from staying in the centre of Ripon). Only a 25 min drive to Knaresborough too. Beds are comfortable, plenty of hot water and the layout is really cosy. A few things in the kitchen need replacing (tin opener, teapot, large saucepan) but none of this was a dealbreaker. The cottage was ideal for our needs.

No shop in the village one pub open one closed cottage perfect Wi-Fi a bit dodgey but useable and large farm vehicles and heavy lorries speeding through the village can break the peace sounds like I'm complaining but I'm not it's just what it is and after all said and done had a great time at half moon cottage

The cottage could do with a revamp . The shower was very noisy.The cooker was very slow. The garden was a mess .Parking was tight & the neighbours were quiet annoyed that our car over lapped their bay by about 6 inches so unless you have a mini or small car the bay is not big enough to accommodate a estate car ,not what you want when you’re on Holiday having a run in with the Neighbour.The beds were clean & comfortable we were a bit disappointed to be honest .
