About this Bed and Breakfast

Grimston Guest House is a welcoming Bed and Breakfast within easy reach of York. Under new ownership and having a total refurbishment, this attractive 1930's house is set an acre of beautiful gardens in the village of Deighton and provides spacious en-suite accommodation.  Offering a friendly welcome, great breakfasts and the perfect location for visiting the City of York and the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Grimston House has safe private parking and is conveniently located for anyone wanting to enjoy the magnificence of York, it's glorious Minster and much more. York Racecourse and the University are also within easy reach.

Guest Rooms

The Grimston Guest House spacious, well furnished accommodation including two interconnected rooms, each with a king size double bed, lounge area and shower. Families with children over 12 years old are welcome.  We have a suite ideal for families of 3 with a king and single bed in adjoining rooms.  We also offer a choice of well presented double and twin accommodation along with superior rooms with king size beds overlooking our gardens.   All have ensuite facilities accept one of our standard doubles which has an external private bathroom with shower. In room facilities include a flat screen TV, hospitality trays with fresh milk and some have their own mini-fridge. 

Breakfast

In the morning awake to a full Yorkshire breakfast using fresh, local produce. Eggs are laid by our own chickens and we are committing to using local suppliers based within 15 miles of Grimston House. For those with a smaller appetites, a Continental breakfast is served.  The dining room overlooks the lovely gardens at the front of the house and is a pleasant way to start your day. 

We also serve tea and scones in the lounge to our guests staying for two nights or more and arriving between 3.30pm and 5pm. 

Around and About

The guest house is ideally close to York with its plethora of shops, museums and galleries. Don't miss a boat trip along the River Ouse and from Grimston House you can go fishing, enjoy horse riding and play golf all within a few miles. There are also some delightful walks in the countryside and we are a good base for those who wish to explore the North Yorkshire Moors.  MacArthur Glen Designer shopping outlet is two miles away next to the Park and Ride.

The White Swan Pub in the village is only two minutes' walk and serves delicious food. In the next village half a mile away, The Black Bull pub serves good food all day and there is an excellent Thai restaurant.
