Perfect for exploring and so near nice restaurants, shops etc. Well appointed kitchen and much appreciated fizz and biscuits on arrival!

It was warm, comfortable and very convenient. There were a few things missing which would have made our stay even better for instance: Door mat More draw space in bedrooms Instructions on how to use the heating, oven, when recycling day is etc. There were no recycling boxes for paper or glass outside the property. Sometimes it is just the little things that improve a place. Having said that we would have no hesitation in booking the cottage again.

We were 3 adult friends in our 70s each wanting our own double bedded room, however, due the oversized double beds in each room, only 1 room had space for a wardrobe, we had to leave most of cases unpacked as there was nowhere to put our clothes. The other very irritating issue was no general information pack anywhere to be found in the house, even though ewe searched every possible place it could be. We did contact Sykes on the second day and received an email from the owner, but still no mention of when to put the bins out and how to sort recycling into the correct bins. It would also be a good idea to provide info on Doctor/ Dental and emergency phone numbers. This could be a very nice place to stay in a lovely village, but was rather spoilt by the lack of information normally found in Sykes properties.
