We stayed at the Garden House for a week over Christmas. We were all pleasantly surprised as to how big and homely the Garden House felt immediately. It is very spacious and extremely clean and tidy. All amenities have been well thought out and we had everything that was needed. The two large bedrooms are both equipped with bathrooms and the beds very comfortable. Everyone slept well every night of the seven we stayed for. As it was Christmas, the Garden house had been decorated with a tree and some decorations. We also received a Christmas card. The attention to detail and providing a welcoming stay were remarkable. The only suggestion I would offer in regards to comfort are the sofas in the lounge. They were comfortable to sit on but representative of the type of sofa that you would find in waiting areas. When watching tv it was quite difficult to remain comfortable and therefore a more comfortable sofa maybe a way of improving this listing further. We had a smart tv which was great and the Wi-Fi was strong and easy to access. We had a very enjoyable stay. Would recommend this property to anyone and would definitely stay again. Huge thanks for being so accommodating and providing such a lovely property for us to spend our Christmas.

This along with the monotone grey decor in the lounge, makes for very dull days when the weather is too bad to venture out ( Agree no- one can do anything about that!) It needs stronger artificial lighting, an injection of colour to make it look less like a dentists’ waiting room and the eyesore of the redundant fireplace needs a bright fire screen to cover it. There are no views from the property itself only from the grounds of the main hall. The ivy covering the outside needs cutting back, as it overhangs the front bedroom window and encroaches in the main doorway. Facilities good except the kitchen needs more cutlery - with 4 people staying, it is possible to run out during one meal. The surrounding area is a joy when the weather is good - Stokesley is a lovely town, and views from the Cleveland Hills are spectacular on a clear day.

The immaculately maintained grounds and house made for a very enjoyable stay for our family. Owners couldn't be more friendly and helpful. We are looking forward to staying again very soon!
