Really good place to stay. Quirky interior decorations but not in a bad way, unique is the word. People have left strange reviews about cutlery, ignore those, the kitchen is well stocked with good stainless steel pans. Knife could be sharper though. People have also talked about a hole in the fence which I’d hardly describe as a hole, ignore that too.Very clean considering the type of building and the amount of furniture and fittings. Couple of cobwebs but that is to be expected and doesn’t reflect on the attention to cleaning. All in all we had a good time here, easy walk down to Staithes and we did a big circular coastal walk from the house. Recommended!

I liked the property but in need of some extra finishing touches. ProsPiano, really comfy beds, lots of space, nice welcome gifts. Location perfect for staithes. Old and quirky with some characteristic features. Great views. Free parking for staithesConsMissing Cutlery and plates not enough to cater for if all rooms full. Shower in upstairs bedroom was at times not working and water went, not suitable kitchen units for 6 people. No kitchen drawers to store cutlery in. Cutlery stored on bottom shelf which is unhygienic. Television had very limited channels so played programmes through phone. It

We had a lovely stay here, we found the accommodation to be clean and comfortable. The walk down to Staithes and back was more than manageable, our 4YO did this happily. We had requested a travel cot and high chair to be in the cottage, and this wasn't available when we arrived, however we spoke with the host and it was sorted quickly.A couple of extra bin bags and a cloth for wiping down surfaces would have been useful.
