It’s great for a relaxing break and views are stunning. Able to do some walks from the cottage but mainly drove to places - Saltend and Whitby due to wet weather . Everything about the place was top notch x

It is in the middle of nowhere with gorgeous views, comfortable beds and plenty of space. Large open kitchen /living room made it ideal for our family get together. Drive for access is very steep, pleased I drive a 4x4 as would not feel confident in a small car

There is no secluded garden to let your dog out , need to have the dog on lead, no place to wash the dogs paws/legs except to lift her up and put her in the utility room sink! ; the property is very hard to find in the dark - no signs after main barn to turn off the road or sign post on the gate! However, property was warm and cosy when we got there , thank you for the goody basket. Well stocked kitchen, however needed more spoons and more drinking "mugs". Pots were scratched, baking tray was burnt and there were no spoons to stir the cooking. Lovely big fridge in the kitchen and freezer in the utility room. Bedrooms with warm bedding and so many pillows, towels for everyone but white so hard to tell who was using what and no place to dry them. Very small clothes rack as clothes got wet and dirty needed to be washed! Biggest problem was the bathroom and taps. We travelled with 3 vulnerable adults, chose the barn to allow them ground floor living. There was no shower tray , shower in the bath was very, very powerful and went way past the protecting bath/shower shield causing puddles in the bathroom after every shower. NONE of the adults could use the taps in the bathroom sink or the bathtub taps - these urgently needed to be upgraded. The sink either gave you freezing water or you burnt yourself as the water was so hot. Same result in the shower - taps need an urgent upgrade. The taps upstairs were easier to use but no mixer tap . On the Friday and Saturday the car park, roads and whole area was taken over by pheasant shooter, dogs, tractors, 4x4's blocking us in and so much noise. We escaped London to avoid the fireworks and get some peace but this was shattered for two days. This resulted in us leaving one day earlier on Saturday as our dog and the vulnerable adults were terrified with the gun shots. THIS SHOULD GO INTO THE LETTING AGREEMENT THAT THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN! Beautiful area, amazing surrounding beauty and when it was quite, it was Idyll. Would definately visit the area again.
