The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms beautifully decorated. One of the shower heads in the main bathroom was a little faulty, probably needing descaling as it just shot water out at right angles rather than down. The outdoor space was lovely, plenty of seats, lights etc. we also appreciated the welcome basket.

We had a chilled break, went into York for the day, cooked meals, had a takeaway and enjoyed the hot tub. I'd recommend this place to others without a doubt, and hope to stay here again. If there was a tiny niggle, I'd say the kitchen could be better equipped (I guess items have been broken or lost by previous guests but not yet replaced) and little things like cleaning spray and a washing up brush and sponge would help, but these are just small opportunities for improvement. We had some requests for the owner. They were friendly, responsive and helpful. Thanks so much âºï¸

The only flaw was not enough bathrooms. one family bathroom and one en-suite is a big ask for 10 people . Apart from that , a good time had by all .
