Formerly a miner's cottage (c 1860), Cobb's Cottage has  been completely renovated and refurbished and now provides modern facilities in an attractive, comfortable terraced property. It is set in the tranquil hamlet of Esk Valley, perfect for couples and families. Cobb's Cottage is an ideal base from which to explore the stunning scenery of both moors and coast, all of which is close by, from the picturesque fishing port of Whitby to the unspoilt beauty of the moors. The list of places to visit is endless creating a treasure trove of memories. There are numerous walks virtually on the doorstep, one of which follows the old horsedrawn railway to Goathland (of Heartbeat fame) or, in the other direction to Grosmont from where the steam trains operate between Pickering and Whitby.

ground floor:

Entrance to the rear of the property: Spacious vestibule for shoes and hanging space for coats. Leading to;

Kitchen: Electric oven and hob with extractor hood. Fridge/freezer, Microwave, washing machine and dishwasher.

Bathroom: Large shower cubicle with electric shower. Wash basin, toilet and heated towel rail.

Lounge/Diner: Flat screen TV with Freesat and DVD player. Dining table and chairs.

first floor:

Bedroom 1: Double bed with bedside cabinets, chest of drawers, built in wardrobe and storage space. Stunning views of the Esk Valley.

Bedroom 2: Single bed with bedside cabinet and wardrobe.

Bedroom 3: Single bed with bedside cabinet and chest of drawers.

Garden: Outside space available.

Pets: Sorry no pets.

Parking: Private parking at the rear of the property.

Heating: Electric radiators throughout.

Short breaks: Not accepted at peak times.

Notes: Please remove shoes when entering the property. Towels are provided. Travel cot available on request. Unlimited WiFi is available free of charge. The mobile phone signal is weak. No smoking at this property.

Pub and Shop: 2 miles.

Grosmont

Set in traditional farmland and countryside and made famous for its railway station, Grosmont is an idyllic location for a self-catering holiday. Fantastic walks in the rolling hills will give you the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery and wildlife. The village had an industrial background with former lime kilns and iron workings still visible. It now offers great amenities including a preserved steam railway, a pub, craft shop, cafe, picnic area, post office and shops.

    This was our second stay at Cobb's Cottage and it didn't let us down - perfect location, very peaceful, superbly well equipped cottage and friendly neighbours (and sheep!). We'll definitely be back!

    Lovely cottage, perfectly safe for children to run around outside. Equipped for picnics, baking or a roast dinner. Beds lovely and comfortable.Would love to visit regularly.
