Snaptrip says

The Surfers Bolt Hole in Whitby is praised for its excellent location and charming decor. Guests appreciate its proximity to local attractions and the thoughtful touches from the owner. While some guests have highlighted issues with cleanliness and maintenance, the property remains a popular choice for its central position and overall value.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Several reviews mention cleanliness issues, such as unwashed kitchen equipment, a smell of wet dog, and unclean areas upon arrival. These recurring comments suggest that cleanliness is a concern that needs addressing.

The location is consistently praised for being central and close to Whitby's attractions. However, the lack of parking and noise from the street are noted drawbacks.

Comfort receives mixed reviews. While some guests found the sofa bed uncomfortable and the property small for four people, others had a pleasant stay. The low door frames were a concern for taller guests.

Facilities and maintenance issues are mentioned, such as problems with the TV, lack of kitchen equipment, and a power cut. However, some guests found the apartment well-equipped and had no issues.

There is no consistent mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the owner, so it is not possible to score this category. While some guests appreciated the communication and decor, there is no clear evidence of extra thoughtfulness in terms of gifts.

Building is for sale so guessing that the owner has given up on the idea of holiday lets.

Plenty of crockery and cutlery but not much in the way of cooking implements which isn’t a big deal when you’re on holiday. Perfectly adequate for a stay, very central. Hints and tips: no parking at property so nowhere to unload. Nearest parking is the railway station, a few miles walk away. Free parking on Chubb Hill Road or Kirkham Road, not too far away. WiFi password is on a sticker in the living room window. Toilet roll needed as only one provided. Also might need washing up liquid. None of this is a criticism of the property. I would stay here again.
