A very good quality apartment ,close to all amenities bus stop and train station both within 100 yards , pub just across the road good food and dog friendly perfect after a day sightseeing.

Gated community. The property itself was very nice: comfortable and well fitted out apart from several of the lamps not working and there being very few instruction manuals for some of the equipment. Location was ideal with the train station being nearby and a good footpath to Whitby.The only issue was at the start of the holiday, when we were not able to access the property due to the gate code not working. Contact with the company was poor as no one was available on the phone numbers given. Contact via message to the company was also terminated before the situation had been outlined. Eventually received a call from the company: a one off phone number was given to open the gates but this did not work either. According to one of the residents this has been an ongoing problem. We were only able to access the property courtesy of one of the residents entering. (This was about 2 hours after we had arrived) The following morning we were unable to leave, as again the gate code did not work. No one from the company was available again and a requested call back took approx 15 minutes. Someone from the local office finally turned up and gave us a fob which opened the gates without any problem. As a result of these issues we weren’t able to carry out our planned arrangements for the evening and following day. A disappointing and stressful start to our holiday and one that could have been avoided had a fob been available on arrival.

A lovely apartment, beautifully furnished and well positioned to walk into Whitby via the Esk Valley Way and cinder track. There's also a path along the river on the other side of the railway line. We didn't use our car at all. Just as well because the security gates were very temperamental. Took us ages to get in and also out at the end of our stay. We weren't the only ones, we saw others having the same problem from our window.
