Named after the famous and record breaking steam train, Mallard is a wonderful ground-floor apartment overlooking Whitby’s steam railway and is a marvelous base for exploring the coast of Yorkshire with family or friends. This is a spacious and wonderful retreat boasting contemporary styling with a clever blend of stylish furnishings which are complemented by the traditional features and a brick fireplace housing a Dimplex Opti-Myst electric stove. The open-plan living space combining a kitchen, living and dining area is the hub of the property.

The modern kitchen with glass splash backs, mood lighting, quartz work surfaces and superb appliances add to the feeling of quality throughout ensuring that you can cook a delicious meal at home before relaxing into your evening, with a Smart TV to keep you entertained. Completing the interior are two well-presented spacious bedrooms, the master bedroom comprising of a Super-King-Size bed boasting a smart TV and an en-suite, and an additional family bedroom with a Super-King-Size zip and link bed and a single bed. The local area of Whitby is a great place to spend your summer holidays, with an array of eateries, tourist attractions, and all important pubs, you won’t be stuck for activities to entertain the whole family. The ancient fishing port of Whitby lies at the mouth of the River Esk and is ideally situated for exploring this beautiful part of Yorkshire, with its superb coastline and close proximity to the spectacular North York Moors. Whitby is a charming and atmospheric town of winding streets and hidden alleys, with a picturesque harbour, safe sandy beaches and of course the Abbey, reached by the famous 199 steps.

    I was provided with a number to contact incase I did need anything. The lady was so helpful throughout. We arrived at the property and we were blown away. The place itself was even nicer than the photos, (which already looked lovely!). We were greeted with a welcome package, and a lovely clean place for our Christmas stay. We had information about the town, a gorgeous view of the harbour and its a stone’s throw away from the town itself. This is the first time we have been away as a family for Christmas and it couldn’t have been any nicer. The place is spotless! It is a credit to whoever owns/runs this. A really big thank you for making our Christmas magical, we wish we could do this all over again! Jessica.

    Everything was spot on. Accommodation was lovely and warm and cosy on our arrival. Thank you to Jo and her team the apartment was spotless with everything we needed. Hopefully we will return again next year for our annual Christmas trip to Whitby.
