Snaptrip says

Dean Cottage in Whitby is a well-received holiday rental, praised for its prime location with stunning harbour views, high-quality furnishings, and a welcoming atmosphere enhanced by festive decorations and a welcome pack. Despite a minor issue with TV access and a single mention of cleaning needing improvement, guests find the cottage to be spotlessly clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged, making it a highly recommended stay.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property is consistently described as spotlessly clean, with only one guest suggesting that cleaning could be more efficient. This indicates a high standard of cleanliness overall.

The location is highly praised for its convenience and stunning views over the harbour. It is central to Whitby, making it an ideal base for exploring the town and surrounding areas.

Guests have found the furniture to be of good quality and the beds extremely comfortable, contributing to a pleasant and restful stay.

The cottage is equipped with a range of modern amenities, though there was an issue with the TV's Prime Video PIN, which was not resolved during a guest's stay. This suggests room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

The owners' thoughtfulness is evident from the festive decorations and welcome pack of wine and chocolates. However, it should be noted that such gestures are a bonus and may not be a consistent offering for every stay.

Great cottage for a long weekend away or longer right in the centre of Whitby only a short walk to all the shops and beach

Dean Cottage is delightful. Spotlessly clean, high spec, character property. The bed was sooo comfortable. Very convenient location in the heart of Whitby overlooking the harbour. Parking was the only issue, but that’s true of Whitby as a whole. We parked on the road on past the 40 min restriction and left car there all week. Bus to Scarborough & Robin Hoods Bay easier than driving and parking and bus to Sandsend for beach half hourly highly recommended. Flat fee of £2 per journey too! We had a great time.

Lovely compact cottage close to all amenities. Very thoughtful use if space and vet comfortable.
