This delightful holiday home has been tastefully furnished and decorated to provide excellent accommodation. With the advantage of a south-facing rear garden, perfect for eating al fresco in the summer and a lovely balcony off the master bedroom, the cottage has been equipped with every modern convenience to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible.

Nestled amongst this row of cottages are two play areas and a grassed area ideal for ball games, which your children will love.

The cottage is set next to the Cinder Track, a disused railway track which is now a popular walking and cycling trail running 20 miles between Scarborough and Whitby. Keen walkers and cyclists may take on the challenge of the full distance, or the section which runs from Whitby to Robin Hoods Bay is a favourite among seasoned walkers and families alike. Alternatively, a 20-minute walk along the track offers guests a fabulous traffic-free way to get to the beach.

The bustling fishing port of Whitby is around a mile away famous for delicious fish and chips, a variety of independent shops, a lovely sandy beach offering traditional donkey rides in the summer, and not forgetting, the 199 steps up to the ruins of the famous Whitby Abbey. Close by the picturesque seaside resorts of Robin Hoods Bay, Staithes and even Scarborough make for a wonderful day out. Golf, fishing and horse riding can also be found nearby.

Loved the cottage, all you needed was there, fantastic views, loved the walk into Whitby on the cinder track, over a mile, even though I damaged my knee before I went away, just took it easy, only issues we had we arrived 1.30 pm just to get our bearings, the cottage was empty, so why we could not get in till 5pm ? By the time we unpacked we were tired and my leg was very sore,we then found we had no internet and hardly any channels on the tv as it was late and phone number for emergencies,we felt it wasn’t.next day phoned but got answer machine, later in the day received a phone call, explained due to bad weather,we needed to turn the box by the tv And leave for few minutes, which we did and tv came on but no internet phoned again, some time later sent a text, sorted it out once back in the cottage,we were told that the number was in the information pack which it was not which would of been handy, did find a small black card under tv with internet number on as we were packing up,next day no tv probably due to weather, out for day on when we arrived back, these issues could of been sorted by ourselves if the information was in the pack the only other issue, was the next day we had no water so could not wash dishes or have a shower, phoned again answer machine, put us back going out, never heard from anyone, back on when we returned, Would we stay at the cottage again yes as we now know what to do so would not of been a problem, information book needs updated then no problem’s would cause upset for visitors we did enjoy our stay,

Great stay in a lovely cottage. Comfortable home from home. An extremely well equipped cottage. Lovely walks into Whitby and surrounding area. We wouldn't hesitate in booking a return visit.

The accommodation was reasonably clean and had everything we needed to have a great holiday. Whitby is a 30 minutes walk away and the local Sainsbury is about 10 minutes drive. This is a great launch pad to see the many attraction of North Yorkshire. There were however a few things, that is improved would have made me give the accommodation a 10: one of the windows in the downstairs cloakroom was letter water in, so on a few occasions we had to mop water up. A couple of light bulbs were out. The central heating system was flashing that it needed a new battery. There was no hand rail to assist getting in and out of the bath/shower. When I was trying to work out how to use the shower I noticed that areas that you could not see were filthy.
