Luxury 17a Grape Lane Apartment in Whitby is housed within a Grade II Listed former seaman's hospital adjacent to the Captain Cook Museum.  Stunning accommodation is spread across two floors and enjoys spectacular harbour views.  A brand new kitchen is fully fitted and all modern essentials include free WiFi.  The property is great for couples or a small family group with a selection of toys available for children and a cot and highchair provided free.  Whitby's many attractions, independent shops, inns and restaurants are all a short stroll away and the North York Moors and beautiful Yorkshire coastline are just on your doorstep. 

Living Space (First Floor)

Set over two floors, the lounge and kitchen are on the first floor and the bedrooms on the second floor.

Free WiFi is available throughout.

Front door access leads into the hallway, and a cloakroom with a wc is off the hallway.

A brand new kitchen diner has a dining table seating six, a dishwasher, washer dryer, a microwave, tea towels, washing up liquid and a complimentary free bottle of wine.

The 21' lounge boasts harbour views from its false balcony on one side, and overlooks the street from the other.  Facilities include a stereo, a DVD player, and a selection of films, CDs, books, and games.

A special feature is a tiny study - a perfect spot in which to read, work or daydream!

Bedrooms / Bathrooms (Second Floor)

The master bedroom has a king-size bed, the original fireplace, an en-suite bathroom with shower cubicle and best of all, an uninterrupted view over the harbour that changes every time you look! 

There is a twin room which can also accommodate a cot or foldaway bed which is available if required.

A family bathroom has a bath with a shower over.

Other Things to Note

To ensure your holiday is as care-free and enjoyable as possible we provide a range of little extras that make all the difference.  You'll find soft towels at the end of the bed when you arrive and you needn't worry about bringing your own tea towels.  Books, CDs, DVDs and games all help to make this a home from home experience.

For pre-schoolers, we'll even provide child-sized cutlery and crockery, a box of toys and a teddy for the duration of your stay!  A travel cot and high-chair are also available.

We do not offer parking but can advise guests on all nearby options.  These include free on street parking located a few minutes' walk from the property.

Around and About

While visiting Whitby experience the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, and the courage of stalwart Yorkshiremen who inspired the Whitby Lifeboat Museum.  Climb the steps up to Whitby Abbey and traverse the winding cobbled streets which lead to the quaint, traditional harbour.  The West Cliff attractions include bumper boats, a miniature railway and motorised go-karts, with a disabled accessible go-kart.  Don't forget the thriving goth scene in Whitby, with Whitby Goth Week every April and October.

Availability and Short Break Information

We will happily take bookings for short breaks (2 nights minimum); we try to be as flexible as we can with dates!  High season and 7-night bookings run from Friday to Friday.
