With access to the seaside town of Scarborough in just a short drive and with beautiful walking and cycling country to explore, choose to bring your loved one to this charming abode. Head straight into the living area and make yourselves at home in front of the woodburner, which is set within a brick fireplace. There is a dining area for two, where you can enjoy a romantic dinner prepared in the well-appointed kitchen, then you can catch up n some of your favourite TV programmes or get out a board game. Lastly, the ground floor is complete with a modern shower room, boasting a large walk-in shower for you to get ready each morning. Climb the staircase to the bedroom and catch your rest in the lovely double bed, waking up to glorious, countryside views each morning while you enjoy a cup of tea from the warmth of the duvet. Choose to relax on the patio after a long day touring the local area and dip in the warm bubbles of the hot tub, which is located at the front of the cottage with a private screen. Although Tawny Cottage rests in a tranquil, rural location, you have some handy amenities within a couple of miles. Also the ancient ruins of Scarborough Castle, its gardens, parks and two stretches of golden sands await your arrival in the nearby seaside town. You can enjoy an evening out with a selection of pubs and restaurants to choose from, before heading over to the Open Air Theatre for a summer evening of live music. Explore the whole of the North York Moors and the Heritage Coast, and truly make the most of a Yorkshire holiday with your other half.

The bustling coastal town of Scarborough, which has been a favourite since the Victorian era, still has many of the original excellent structures, parks, and gardens, as well as its iconic castle that towers over the community. Two outstanding sections of lovely, golden sand beaches in North Bay and South Bay are very well-liked by families with young children. Numerous family-friendly activities are available, as well as several top-notch tourist attractions for adults, such as the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough Spa, and the Scarborough Open Air Theatre for live music. With golf courses, excellent seaside walks along the Cleveland Way, stunning cycle paths like the former railway to Whitby, beautiful sailing, and championship-caliber surfing, Scarborough is a great place for outdoor activities. Scarborough is the destination with something for everyone when all the customary seaside amusement and busy promenades near to the shore are added. Scarborough is a great place to start a fun-filled vacation because it is ideally positioned for exploring the coastline and the moors.

We went Friday to Friday and thought the price was very reasonable. Hot Tub was fun. Log burner was lovely (we had to buy matches which we found odd as all the other items were there - logs, firelighters). Will definitely return. Thanks again xx

Especially Tawny Cottage! We stayed for 4 nights in September and it was amazing. The facilities are brilliant, literally everything you would need and although we didn’t need anything else, no doubt it wouldn’t have been a problem at all to ask for anything. The cottage itself is gorgeous! Clean, modern, spacious and the bed gave me the best nights sleep I’d had in months, so comfy. Perfect for couples. The log burner was lovely as well as it was starting to get a little bit chilly. Hot tub was 100% a bonus as well. Lots of nice restaurants, pubs, walks, shops etc nearby and there’s even a book with some suggestions if you’re stuck! We will 100% be back soon for another amazing holiday❤️
