Outside, this Snainton cottage has a large, delightful garden, a lovely place for relaxing on a summer's evening. The village of Snainton offers a country inn, whilst the nearby market town of Pickering has a good range of shops and tea rooms, an historic castle, trout fishing and the famous North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway. The bustling seaside resort of Scarborough is only a few minutes' drive from this Snainton cottage, and has safe, sandy beaches, theatres, restaurants, golf courses and parks, while the Flamingo Park Zoo is only a little further away and provides a fun day out for all the family. Whether it's stunning countryside or coastal towns you're looking for, this Woodlands Cottage provides easy access for both.
Snainton, a charming little village at the foot of the North York Moors, is a great base for exploring the popular coastal resorts of Scarborough, Whitby, and Filey. Snainton has two pubs that serve meals, a fantastic riding centre that caters to riders of all ages and skills, and a fantastic children's playground. A driving range with a par 3, 9-hole golf course is nearby, as are numerous walks, cycle trips, and country drives. Visit Scampston Walled Garden, which has a renowned restaurant, or Wykeham, 4 miles away, for a day of fishing, or Dalby Forest, which has excellent walking, mountain biking, and "Go Ape" walks for the more daring! Pickering, with its famed steam railway, castle, and Beck Isle Museum, and York, with its mediaeval city, are both easily accessible.

Itâs very spacious and has a lovely fire place in the front room. The hot tub is so relaxing once you have done a full day of walking! The host is so lovely and made you feel right at home! Always there to help you. The best thing was waking up in the morning and seeing the horses out in the field! All the animals thereâs are super friendly. Would highly recommend the property and will definitely be back again!

The cottage was perfect, very spacious and equipped with everything that we could possibly need and the garden was lovely. The wine, beer and chocolates on arrival were a lovely touch. Its location was so peaceful and quiet yet not far away from so many lovely places to visit like Whitby, Robin Hoodâs Bay and Goathland. We had a fantastic week and would recommend the cottage to anyone who wants a nice comfy restful break.

Clean, very well furnished and equipped. Greeted by owner who showed us round and explained how everything worked, was available if we had any problems. The garden is securely fenced so it gave us peace of mind for our dog. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
