About this property

Resting upon Cayton Bay Holiday Centre, a family-friendly park upon the shoreline of Cayton in North Yorkshire is Pines, a fabulous single-storey lodge. Benefiting from a range of on-site facilities, including an indoor heated swimming pool and a children's play area, whilst offering flexible sleeping arrangements and a well-equipped living space, the lodge accommodates four guests, ideal for a family seascape. Park up and head indoors, arriving at the open-plan space, where you can prepare delicious meals, dine as a group, and relax after a busy day of fun-filled activities. After taking advantage of the park facilities, rest your eyes in one of three bedrooms including a double and two twins, all serviced by a shower room and an additional cloakroom for convenience. Come morning, head to the shoreline for a stroll across Cayton Bay Beach, before travelling east towards Filey and its host of attractions; visit Scarborough Fair Collection & Vintage Transport Museum, opt for a delightful day out at the Playdale Farm Park, tour Filey Bird Garden and Animal Park, home to a wide range of animals, brush up on your local knowledge at Filey Museum, or book tickets for Planet Circus, hosting various acts and stunts. Returning west, explore Scarborough and its influx of seaside amenities, including SEA LIFE Scarborough, the Italian Gardens, Alpamare UK, offering various water sport activities, Scarborough Castle, and the nature-filled Cinder Track, heading towards the North York Moors National Park. Across the county you'll also find the Flamborough Headland Heritage Coast, Bridlington North Beach & Promenade, and Reighton Sands Beach, all displaying picturesque views of the North Yorkshire coastline. Take to North Yorkshire with Pines as your base.

Cayton, a small village and civil parish in North Yorkshire's Scarborough district, is a great place for a beach getaway because it has a decent selection of services and attractions both inside the village and nearby. There are many undiscovered treasures in the settlement, which has historical relics from the Second World War, including pillboxes that have been eroded by the sea. The village has a nice number of pubs and stores that are ideal for a self-catered stay, but you can find a larger selection of waterfront restaurants in the neighbouring resort town of Scarborough, which is packed with activities for visitors of all ages. Enjoy a conventional day by the sea with a variety of sites to remember including amusement arcades, ice cream parlours, seafood shops, and beach huts all nestled around the town's sandy beaches. Explore the area's rich history at Scarborough Castle and the Rotunda Museum of Geology.

I loved where it was positioned on the holiday park - it was so quiet and peaceful. We loved watching the rabbits in the morning and evenings. I stayed with my 19 year old daughter, and 14 year old son (who turned 15 whilst we were there). It was perfect for us because we didn't want to use the park facilities particulaly, only the fish and chip takeaway, the ice-cream place and the Nisa mini-supermarket. We thought it could benefit from some big spaghetti bowls and some side lamps. Apart from that it was perfect. A big and comfy seating area. Comfy beds. Generous supply of tea and coffee. Soft bedding. Car parking right next to caravan. And great to be between Filey and Scarborough, so we could visit our family and friends! If you have younger children I would highly recommend the park facilities, of play ground, swimming pool and much more!
