Perfect for walks and cycle rides into the forest from the doorstep. Great for bird watching in the gardens or forest, with Raptor View Point a short drive away. The area also has dark skies so ideal for avid stargazers. Convenient for Scarborough, Whitby and York, and the market towns of Malton, Helmsley and Pickering with its steam railway. Castle Howard and Heartbeat country are an easy drive away. There is an award-winning butchers in the neighbouring village of Brompton. North Yorkshire Water Park is 6 miles from the properties. This is described as the largest natural water sport lake in North Yorkshire. Pub 1 mile and shops 3 miles.

We stayed at Grain End for four days. We were very pleased. It's a wonderful, cozy, and quiet place where we want to return. The cottage is very beautiful, well-furnished, and the fireplace made our evenings even more romantic. The owners are pleasant and always willing to help

Very peaceful location with very friendly owners. The thick stone walls kept the cottage lovely and cool during this summers heatwave.No traffic noise and we'll kept gardens.
