If you’re here in the winter months, the living/dining room is the perfect place to unwind, fitted with a stove-effect electric fire as the feature of the room, kick back and relax while you take in the magnificent country views just outside of the window; with a dining table placed conveniently next to it, it’s a brilliant backdrop for your evening meal. With the kitchen just next door to the living/dining room, you won’t have to travel far to fix up delectable meals or grab any late-night snacks. The first bedroom is a divine double with ample wardrobe space. Next up is the single bedroom with a trundle bed, which is ideal for the kids or couples; with a delightful patio area attached, it’s a lovely spot to enjoy breakfast in the summer heat, there’s even a washing line for you to hang up your sea-soaked towels. Take a walk into the village of Scalby, surrounded by pretty stone cottages and Victorian houses, it’s a picturesque area boasting its own pubs, shops, and café, not forgetting a farmer’s market being held twice a week for you to purchase scrumptious snacks. There are plentiful public footpaths to explore, Raincliffe Woods, Forge Valley along Scalby Beck or north on the disused railway track to Burniston, Cloughton and Ravenscar, all perfect for bringing the dog along.
