Originally built in 1825 as a ruin, this unique Grade II listed building has been sympathetically transformed into two lovely, detached gatehouses yet retaining all the visual appearances of a ruin. Built in stone from Filey Brigg, The Follies are set in 3/4 acres of natural grounds and visitors are welcome to wander through them, where there is an abundance of wildlife including, rabbits, owls and squirrels. This property also allows up to one pet, meaning your furry friend can enjoy the holiday too.
Centrally located for exploring the North Yorkshire coast, moors and wolds, the historic town of Filey is only 3 miles distant, with its wide sandy beach and all the attractions of a popular seaside resort. Scarborough and Bridlington are both easily accessible, as is the beautiful city of York. There is a 9-hole golf course locally, fishing available nearby, and an rspb reserve at Bempton Cliffs providing interest for bird-watchers. There are plenty of local shops and pubs within walking distance, and good railway links. Shop 500 yards.

This little gem is absolutely stunningly beautiful inside and out. We have just had the most perfect stay and Vicky is on hand for anything you need. We took our puppy with us and the old folly and the grounds are perfect.Highly recommend. Approx 5 mins from Filey. Beautiful beaches at Filey and Hunmanby Gap.Piebald Inn dog friendly and we had the best ever pies we have ever eaten.Thank you Vicky, we will see you next year. 😊
