We enjoyed our stay at the Old Chapel. It was a good base to explore the surrounding area. Neil was very helpful and shared about the conversion of the chapel and his connections with it. There were a few things missing which we would have expected, such as a dish cloth/dish washer tablets and kitchen roll and we felt that the place would benefit from a refresh. We were delighted with the bottle of wine and chocolates on our arrival. The garden was beautifully attended to, and the outside lighting enhanced the architecture of the building.

Our stay at The Old Chapel was nothing short of exceptional. we a very warm welcome from Neil, the owner, whose passion for the property is evident in every detail. He has masterfully restored the chapel, beautifully and tastefully retaining its original character while providing every modern convenience needed for a seamless self-catering holiday. We highly recommend watching the provided DVD detailing the renovation project.Located in the tranquil hamlet of Speeton, the property offers a peaceful escape, yet remains perfectly positioned for convenience. While the village itself is small and quiet, all necessary grocery shopping is just a short distance away, and the surrounding area boasts a wide variety of excellent places to eat. With numerous local points of interest to explore, it serves as an ideal base for a getaway. We had a perfect stay and will certainly be returning; we cannot recommend The Old Chapel highly enough.

If you like peace and quiet and exploring the countryside..then this is the place..I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I did...It was very clean and well presented and the conversion has been done to a high standard by the owner himself and he seems to take great pride in running the place.. there are no amenities in the village itself but for us the local walks more than make up for this...The owner has recorded the conversion work onto dvd which is a must to watch...And at the moment it's good value compared to some...We would most definitely stay again...Many thanks..
