Settled amidst its delightful neighbouring cottages within the Orchard Farm Cottage group is Rose, a cottage set over two floors and boasting wonderful rustic features alongside modern amenities. Suited for a family or friends looking to explore the Yorkshire coast, whether part of a larger group occupying the other cottages or enjoying the company of just a few, Rose can become a home-from-home during your stay. Be met immediately with the quaint sitting room which features traditional dark wooden beams on the ceiling and areas of stone work, with plush sofas amidst to get cosy on a quiet evening. Move into the kitchen and dining space to the back and keep your loved one company as they cook up a delicious dish. Head up the staircase at the end of the day to find two simple but well-presented bedrooms, providing somewhere tranquil to wind down. Choose from a double room or a twin room, and prepare for your day in the family bathroom. Enjoy a drink in the on-site bar. Hunmanby is a village near the Yorkshire coast, a short drive away from the popular seaside resort of Filey. Boasting a small community of its own complete with several pubs and shops, you have access to all you need within close reach. Enjoy walking across the North York Moors to the north, as well as visiting the plethora of attractions in Scarborough, or head south to the Yorkshire Wolds and Flamborough headland for amazing coastal scenery.

A few issues during this stay with our cottage, again like last year smells of dogs, but as to be expected for a lovely village that caters for families with pets. We brought along some air fresheners. Also kitchen fire extinguisher was taken for testing several days in to our stay and it didnât return before we left. Also the windows do not lock upstairs and unsafe for children. These windows open very wide and theyâre is risk of an accident. Keys in the window locks donât work and seemed to be jammed in with incorrect keys. However I always find the woman there very friendly and Iâm not one to complain, so got on with it. Lovely childrenâs play area onsite. Good laundrette facility on site, donât forget your coins. Great biscuits and drinks hamper on arrival along with a cleaning cloth and sponge. Thank you :)

The approach to out cottage (rose) was lovely, well trimmed hedges an arch, very nice. The village of hunmanby was only a short walk away and the pub,the horseshoe was even closer,the food was lovely too. The only negative to our stay was the on-site pub was only open Fri and sat night from 7, but in the owners defence the description did say it would be subject to season opening times, but I would have liked to know when the seasonal times began and the hours it was open. Other than that, we do recommend this site and would come back again.
