Guests generally appreciate the peaceful, beautiful setting of the Orchid cottage, with its well-maintained grounds and proximity to local attractions. The on-site pub and friendly staff add to the pleasant experience. While some guests mention issues with cleanliness and comfort, these are balanced by positive comments about the overall stay and the thoughtful touches provided.
Cleanliness scores well, with several guests finding the cottage clean and ready for use. However, some noted issues with cobwebs, a dirty bathroom, and unclean kitchenware, slightly diminishing the overall impression.
The location is highly praised for its quietness, peacefulness, and proximity to local pubs and attractions, contributing to a very positive experience.
Comfort receives mixed reviews. Guests appreciate the comfortable beds and the quiet environment conducive to good sleep, but some find the furniture uncomfortable and mention a need for refurbishment.
Facilities are adequate, with mentions of a well-equipped cottage and wheelchair-friendly rooms. However, there are several complaints about maintenance issues such as a leaking kettle, a non-working hoover, and a lack of a swimming pool, which was advertised but not available.
Thoughtfulness is evident in the provision of Easter eggs for children and the overall welcoming reception. While such gestures are appreciated, it is noted that these are not guaranteed and may vary.

Cottage perfect for my stay with my 2 grandchildren and 2 dogs. Facilities in cottage brilliant as we're the on-site ones too. Definitely a place to recommended and return to .

There's areas for camping and tourers, play area for the children, large lake for fishing. Bar and shop. The area is kept immaculate by the owners who live on site, ten minute walk into Hunmanby, locals are so friendly and there's lots of places nearby eg: Filey, Scarborough, Brid etc. Would definitely recommend.
Martyn
I would certainly recommend it!
