Step inside your new home-from-home to find a number of tasteful living areas, which include a fully-equipped kitchen/diner where the chef of choice can find all the appliances required to whip delicious, home-cooked meals to be savoured at the breakfast bar, in the dining room, or in the well-appointed sitting room whilst you and your loved ones enjoy a film on the TV. As day rolls into night, treat yourself to a long, rejuvenating shower before retiring to one of two bedrooms, including a plush double room that lies waiting to transport you to a night of restorative slumber. If you can tear yourself away from your new lodgings, take time to explore the town of Filey by brushing up on your local history at Filey Museum, go for a pleasant stroll in Crescent Gardens or Glen Gardens, or even just feel the sand between your toes on the lush sands of Filey Beach. If you don’t fancy cooking one evening, book a table at Inghams Fish Restaurant or Charlottes Of Filey, whilst also being sure to start your day off in a quaint fashion by enjoying a soothing cup of tea at The Lighthouse tea room. Further afield, a short car journey north along the coast will bring you to Scarborough, where visitors can spend time roaming the ancient grounds of Scarborough Castle or the serene green spaces of the Japanese-inspired Peasholm Park. Make memories with loved ones during a stay at The Bolt 'Ole.

Filey, located in the stunning Filey Bay, is a classic English seaside town with a welcoming attitude that offers a relaxing break and is the perfect spot to stay for walkers and wildlife watchers throughout the year. A low headland that guards Filey Bay, Filey Brigg offers excellent year-round opportunities for marine and bird watching. Some 250,000 seabirds spend the summer at the 400-foot-tall Bempton Cliffs (rspb Reserve) south of Filey Bay. With its unique stores, winding lanes, and ginnels, the town has maintained much of its charm. There is also a slipway where local fisherman keep their boats, as well as charming beach huts that can be rented during the summer. Two promenades surround the sea, and there are a number of gardens where brass bands perform on Sundays. The Filey Bird Garden and Animal Park, Alpamare UK waterpark, and the Filey Dams Nature Reserve, a wetland reserve where a variety of common and uncommon species can be viewed, are just a few of the many family-friendly attractions in this little town. You can reach the larger town of Scarborough in a short drive, where you'll find fantastic beaches, a castle, the Rotunda Museum, and the well regarded Sea Life Centre. Bridlington, Whitby, Hornsea, and Saltburn are some nearby towns that are worth visiting and show the energy of the lovely North Yorkshire region.

Flat clean and tidy and well equipped. Tastefully decorated. Welcome box was a nice touch. However we found a lot of black mould behind bed - previous guest had reported mould on several walls in visitors book - and cleaned walls themselves but couldnt reach mould behind bed. However when we arrived this mould had not been dealt with and small amount of mould remained in second bedroom as well. - No instruction booklets for cooker radiators or microwave. We worked out how to operate the radiators but all radiators were off when we arrived and it took several hours to warm the flat up. Managed to turn radiators down when we left (as requested by owners).

It had damp walls in every room and dirty nearly in every room and shower , and my partner spent 2 hours cleaning, so won't be staying there again

The bed is really hard, which suits some people, but I’m currently 30 weeks pregnant and have had a hip replacement. I tried sleeping in the bunk beds, but due to the size of the bump and the narrow gap, this made it very difficult. This resulted in us leaving after the first night (which is a shame as we had driven 3 hours to get there). The property has damp issues, which affected my partners asthma. There was a human treat and dog treat boxes which is a lovely touch, and the location of the property is amazing. The beach is lovely, but dogs are only allowed on a certain part of it. Overall it is a nice property, just the mattress didn’t suit me, and the damp needs fixing.
