Guests say

Anchor's Away in Filey is a spotless, well-equipped and comfortable apartment with beautiful sea views and a prime location close to the beach, town centre, and local amenities. Guests consistently praise its cleanliness, cosy atmosphere, and thoughtful touches. The property is dog-friendly and ideal for exploring Filey and the surrounding area. While the stairs may be challenging for those with mobility issues and parking can be limited, most guests found their stay relaxing and enjoyable.

Guests repeatedly describe the apartment as exceptionally clean, spotless, and fresh, with no unpleasant odours even though it is dog-friendly. There are no negative comments about cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to the beach, town centre, shops, restaurants, and parks, while still being peaceful. Some mention parking can be tricky, but overall the setting is considered excellent.

The apartment is described as very comfortable, cosy, and well-furnished, with comfortable beds and a favourite chair by the window. The main drawback noted is the number of stairs, which may be difficult for those with mobility issues.

The property is well-equipped with quality kitchen items, games, books, DVDs, and a powerful shower. Some guests would have preferred a washing machine over a dishwasher, and a few had minor issues with the oven and heating controls.

Several guests appreciated thoughtful touches such as tea, coffee, milk, sugar, and biscuits on arrival. Please note, however, that these gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

We had a comfortable and relaxing stay at Anchors Away in Filey. The flat was very well equipped and in a good position for the beaches, walks and the town. Very convenient for local amenities and good in all weathers.

Great location for beach walks and seaside parks. Filey is quiet and has quite good transport links too, good for those without a car. The apartment was comfortably furnished and the sea view was lovely. The oven overcooked things - maybe the thermostat has gone? How to adjust the heating remains a mystery to us, so we found one bedroom hot and one cool and heaters coming on at odd times during the day. Then again, we couldn't work out how to use the DVD player either and in the absence of instructions we leave stuff well alone and go for another stroll along the coast.

Much better than I expected. Exceptionally clean and well equipped with high quality kitchen items. It's just far enough from the centre to make parking less of a problem. The stairs could be a problem (second floor) but are not steep and are divided in to four short flights. There is a delightful bay window with a view of the sea and it gets the sun all day. The only mistake I made was to get a lot of shopping on the first day, necessitating several trips up and down the stairs!
