A very comfortable holiday home in a pretty village setting, so peaceful, a perfect place for some well earned rest. The paddock at the rear is great for exercising dogs. Weather during our stay in march couldn`t have been better. A great area for walking. The only fly in the ointment is that many public car parks in the national park are overpriced.

Apart from wonderful scenery, a lovely cafe and great walks there aren't many 'local' amenities, however, I'm not dropping the rating because of that. We visit this cottage at least twice a year. Enough said 😄

Unbelievable! Everything you need to have a memorable break is provided (even choccy biscuits) lazy mornings watching the birds feeding, hundreds of walks around and nearby and lots of places to visit all within an hour's drive, Lockton is a lovely village but be warned there is no pub or anywhere to eat other than a little cafe which was closed (Feb).I would definitely recommend a stay here and am confident you will be pleased.
