Peacefully situated just a short drive from Pickering, Rawcliffe House Farm in the North York Moors National Park is perfect for guests exploring the 554 square miles of magical moorland and ancient woodland which the area is renowned for. A choice of six holiday cottages are available and the shared grounds include outdoor seating areas, a kid's play area and resident animals for guests to meet. 

The night skies above are recognised as one of the best areas in the country for stargazers and a wealth of wildlife call the surrounding countryside their home including deer, barn owls, kestrels, woodpeckers, nuthatches and many more. A number of historic attractions including Castle Howard can be found closeby and our farm is also ideal for exploring the park on The North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway can be alighted in Pickering. Cloth Fair Holiday Cottage

A wonderful retreat for both able-bodied and disabled guests, Cloth Fair Cottage was originally a herring bone milking parlour which has been lovingly refurbished into stylish accommodation for two. Set over one level, the cottage is approached via ramp access and the spacious living area boasts dual aspect country views. There is also level access out onto a courtyard seating area, a leather sofa and armchair, a feature electric stove fire, wall mounted TV and a dining area with two chairs. A beamed ceiling and two charming window seats complete the living room, and modern self catering facilities include a dishwasher, electric oven, hob and fridge with 4* freezer box.

The flexible bedroom can be presented with either a super king-size double or two singles. There is also room for a travel cot and an additional wall mounted TV can be found in this room. The modern bathroom has grab rails, hand basin, WC and separate shower.

Spotting scope with tripod, binoculars and nature books for watching the wildlife. Extra charges apply and use must be pre-booked

Telescope with tripod, binoculars, two red-light torches and star maps for dark sky enthusiasts. Again, extra charges apply and use of equipment must be pre-booked 

Large grounds with south facing courtyard, tables and chairs for guests use, and one acre of grass for games

Garden with seating areas, brick built bbq, play area for children and outdoor play equipment

Free Wi-Fi with 10MB connection through the farm

Friendly resident animals to meet - assisting with feeding can also be arrangement in advance

Paddock for horses

Laminated guides for walks, drives, cycling and horse trekking

Pye Corner Cottage - a flexible two bedroom cottage suitable for families or two couples holidaying together. Sleeps 5 + cot

Hindburn Cottage - a light and spacious one bedroom cottage with south west facing patio. Sleeps 2

Availability

Short breaks are welcome except over the Christmas/ New Year period when a seven night minimum stay applies. No pets.
