Set on a scenic, 60-acre site among other high-quality cottages, lodges and pods, it makes an excellent base for exploring Yorkshire’s wonderful countryside and coastline. The seaside resorts of Filey and Scarborough are both within 20.5 miles, while Whitby (21 miles) can be reached via the heritage railway which departs from the bustling market town of Pickering, just 1 mile from the site. This is also the place to be for shopping and a fabulous choice of pubs, wine bars, tea rooms, coffee shops, cafes, restaurants, bistros and takeaways. For further family days out, head to Flamingo Land, 5 miles away, Dalby Forest, 4.5 miles away, and the grand estate of Castle Howard, 14 miles away, where there’s an award-winning adventure playground.

Enjoy a unique escape in this curvy pod, which has been carefully thought out to maximise comfort and style throughout every inch. A timber floor and white-painted panelling set the scene, with pretty colours and patterns for interest, plus clever lighting and space-saving touches such as wall niches containing sockets and USB ports. Step through the glazed circular doors to find your open-plan living space, cute as can be, combining the functions of lounging, cooking, dining and sleeping. In the compact kitchen area, the chef of the holiday will have a two-ring gas hob, a fridge and a microwave with which to work their magic, and when you’re ready to eat simply fold out the dining table and chairs to get together for delicious food and sociable chats. After supper, stretch out on the comfortable sofa and choose your method of relaxation – a good book, some music, or perhaps a show on the Smart TV. For a fabulous night’s sleep, the king-size bed in the corner is fitted with a luxury Hypnos mattress, as are the bunk beds tucked behind. You’ll also have ample clothes storage in the form of a full-length wardrobe. Lastly, this fabulous retreat boasts a sleek, wet-room-style shower room with a properly flushing WC.

Your outside space consists of a furnished decked area with a charcoal BBQ – offering the chance to sit in the fresh air, enjoying the sunshine and birdsong or gazing at the night sky. Another benefit is a space in the shared car park close by, with loading and unloading allowed right beside the pod.
