This cottage is located in the heart of West Witton, one of Wensleydale's prettiest villages. Just across the road from the cottage is an excellent seafood restaurant of international acclaim, the perfect place for a celebratory meal or luxurious lunch. The village is also home to a great pub, village store, tea rooms and post office. Next door to the cottage is the village green and pond, and across the Dale you can see Bolton Castle on the horizon, a fantastic day out for all ages. The ground floor is a large open plan space boasting warm wooden floors thanks to underfloor heating and a two way wood burner, heating the cosy snug one on side and the spacious lounge area on the other. At the far end you'll find the kitchen/dining room which features a bespoke kitchen packed with modern conveniences including a Nespresso coffee machine, induction hob and dishwasher. There's also a handy utility area which is ideal for removing muddy boots after outdoor adventures. Make your way up the stunning glass staircase to discover two good sized en suite bedrooms, both of which are filled with natural light thanks to large windows and skylights. When you're ready to tear yourself away from the inside, throw open the folding doors and make your way to the beautifully landscaped garden. Boasting a charming sheltered patio area leading up to an elevated lawned area, you are treated to views of Penhill in the background. The hot tub sits at the perfect temperature whatever the weather, waiting for you to submerge yourself and completely relax. It was originally built in the 1860 s as a reading room for the men of West Witton Village to come and read books and newspapers, women were not allowed. It was open place, as it is now, but with no upstairs and a fire at either end. You can see a picture of it and read a little of its history in the book about the village that is on the bookcase.
