This charming Grade II listed terraced Georgian townhouse is set around a pretty village green, tucked away behind imposing gates in its own private courtyard. With period features, this townhouse is a delightful mixture of old and new and provides an ideal retreat in the peaceful, picturesque conservation area of Richmond. The well-equipped kitchen/dining/living area is light and spacious and makes a perfect place to relax at the end of a day, spread the maps out and make plans for tomorrow. There is also an inner hall where you will find the washing machine. Upstairs there is a large and comfortable bedroom with king-sized double bed. The enclosed patio courtyard provides a perfect suntrap for outdoor drinks and nibbles, and there is also ample room for bikes/kayaks/golf bags, etc. A short walk up the hill is the famous Norman castle and market square where you can discover the history of the town and explore the walls and meandering cobbled streets, and just a stone’s throw from your doorstep there are delightful walks along the river Swale and more. We appreciated the welcome hamper and fresh flowers. The charming owners checked to see if everything was fine for our stay, and of course it was. I would highly recommend this property for a stay in beautiful Richmond.

Very comfortable and spotless throughout, easy parking and short uphill walk into town. Lovely outdoor seating area. One of the best cottages we have stoped in.

It is the best self catering accommodation we have ever stayed in. Always a warm welcome by Sarah, spotlessly clean & comfortable in every way. A great location only minutes from the wonderful river Swale. We look forward to our 6th visit next year.
