Guests say

Hobson's Cottage in the Yorkshire Dales is highly praised for its stunning views, peaceful location, and cosy atmosphere. Guests appreciate the well-equipped space, comfortable beds, and the thoughtful welcome basket. The proximity to Reeth with its pubs and shops, as well as direct access to walking routes, adds to the charm. While parking and the steep staircase are noted, the overall experience is one of relaxation and enjoyment in a beautiful setting.

The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews mentioning it being very clean and well-presented. Only one minor comment about crumbs on the kitchen floor suggests a slight deduction.

The location is consistently described as peaceful with beautiful views and convenient access to local amenities and walking routes. The only drawback mentioned is the parking situation, which is not ideal for some guests.

Comfort is generally rated highly, with several reviews noting the comfortable beds and cosy living space. However, there are a few comments about the sofa being uncomfortable and the bunk beds being cramped for adults.

Facilities are well-regarded, with the cottage being described as well-equipped. Some guests suggest improvements such as sharpening kitchen knives, updating the TV, and providing better fire safety measures. The steep stairs are also noted as a potential issue for some.

Guests frequently mention the welcome basket, which is appreciated, though it is noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and may vary. The provision of detailed arrival instructions and the presence of a coffee machine are also seen as thoughtful touches.

He views from the garden are too kill for. We loved sitting in the garden looking after the wonderful views. The kitchen is very worn and could do with a revep. The bottom runner on the kitchen unit under the sink. Come fall off just after we arrived. Some of the units looked like they seen better days. The heater in the main bedroom did not work as the switch on the wall was turned off on our arrival. You could see some crumbs on the floor in the kitchen area. As we had to remove the mats as they were a hazard, But overall, we had an amazing time.

Also couldn’t find correct information about the recycling point but found one in Reeth which is good to know. Fantastic cottage overall

There were plenty of leaflets with suggestions of things to do and the cottage was well placed to walk to pubs and restaurants in Grinton and Reeth. The bottle of prosecco was a pleasant surprise, particularly as we were there to celebrate a birthday, although half a dozen tea bags and a small bottle of milk would have been more useful for our first evening. However, coffee was provided.
