Enjoying a quiet location in the spellbinding northern part of the Yorkshire Dales, the secluded hamlet of Healaugh is just over a mile from the friendly village of Reeth (the capital of Swaledale), which has a welcoming choice of pubs, cafes and shops. Walkers can head north to Calver Hill (1 mile) or immediately south onto Harkerside Moor. Other attractions in this breathtaking area include Grinton Moor Smelt Mill, Aysgarth Falls and Bolton Castle, all within 11 miles. Heading east, the vibrant town of Richmond (13 miles) is home to Richmond Falls, Richmond Castle – a stunning Norman fortress – and the remains of Easby Abbey.
