Head to nearby Richmond or Barnard Castle each with its castle to explore and many walks and attractions, including the Easby Abbey and The Station for a well deserved slice of cake after a long walk, and in Barnard Castle the Bowes Museum. Further afield, venture into the Yorkshire Dales National Park and visit the Forbidden Corner or Bolton Castle, the Wensleydale Creamery Aysgarth Falls or the Druids Temple.
