Nestling in its own private lawn garden, this single story detached property is situated on the edge of the pretty village of East Witton within a short stroll of the village green. The Paddock is comfortably furnished and well equipped, providing an ideal retreat for couples or friends and families wishing to relax and unwind in this glorious area of lower Wensleydale. This is a perfect location for exploring the many attractions that the area has to offer visitors to the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Take time to explore the nearby Jervaulx Abbey and grounds, Castle Bolton, Middleham Castle (once home to Richard III, The Forbidden corner and the picturesque water falls at Aysgarth complete with scenic walks. Lovers of the countryside will find delightful gentle rambles from the door or more strenuous hikes in the limestone areas. The market town of Leyburn 4 miles away has restaurants, pubs, tea rooms, traditional shops and galleries to browse around arranged around the market square. There is also easy access into the head of Wharfedale and into Swaledale. Conveniently close to the property there is a village inn with a restaurant renowned for its food and the nearby villages have character pubs serving Yorkshire beers and good food.

The Paddock is a comfortable bungalow. Well planned for guests with dish washer and washing machine. Its fairly central so makes it easy to get out and about.The enclosed very large garden is excelent for dogs. The only thing I'd suggest is making a turning area at front. There is plenty of room for this.And a light at side and back is perhaps a necessity.

The Paddock is set in its own very large garden, and is very private with hedging between neighbours. There is parking but turning is dependent on car size and skill as it is tight due to bushes.The property is not modern but is comfortable and all appliances worked. We had a supermarket home delivery initially and topped up in Leyburn , Middleham has a well stocked small shop…and lots of race horses to admire. Walks into the countryside from the doorstep and many more within a short drive. Brymor Ice cream parlour is very near .We would definitely return.

Lovely cottage with everything you need in the heart of a gorgeous little village. There is one pub there and no other amenities but it doesn’t matter as it is close enough to Masham to get what you need. Booked again for next year so that says enough It would be a help if the bushes at the bottom could be trimmed back a little to make parking easier but it’s not a problem
